Connect your iPhone to your Windows PC
Step 1. Connect your iPhone to your PC using a USB-to-lightening cable.
Step 2. Tap the “Trust” option on your iPhone screen to allow the connection between the two devices. It may take a few seconds, so be patient.

Method #1: Transfer Photos using Windows 10 Photos App
Step 1. While both devices are connected, click the “Start” icon off your Windows screen, scroll down, and select “Photos”.
Step 2. Click on “Import”.
Step 3. Select “From a connected device”.
Step 4. Click on the drop-down menu and under “Select”, select “import all items” or “items since last import”.
Now you just have to wait until all your files are imported from your iPhone to your Windows 10 PC.
Method #2: Transfer Photos using Windows 10 File Explorer
Unlike the previous method, the best part about this method is that it allows you to choose where to store the photos besides just importing the photos.

Step 2. Now click “This PC” from the side menu.
Step 3. Select the Apple device name and go to internal storage.
Step 4. Click on the “DCIM” folder.
Step 5. Choose the file you want to get the images from.
Step 6. Now select the images with the cursor that you want to move.
Step 7. With right-click select “Copy”.
Step 8. Now go to the “Picture” folder that we had already opened earlier. This is where we would like to import the images. If you wish to import them somewhere else, select that particular folder. You see, you have got the liberty to choose the location where you wish to import files.
Step 9. Select paste in the new folder and the images are copied here on your PC.
There is an alternative method, you can transfer images from iPhone to Windows 10 PC over iCloud. But for that, you first need to set up iCloud Photo library software on your Windows PC. This will provide a direct server-to-server connection like the one Apple users get in the Apple ecosystem.
