How to Reinstall Windows 10 without All the Bloatware?
You expect it to be clean and speeding up your tasks. On the contrary, it works very slower than you expected. But if you purchase a system part by part, assemble, and then install the Windows yourself, the partaking situation is different. You get much speed up performance.
Strange—- right?
What’s the Catch?
Now I will tell you why it is so.
Usually, when PCs come preinstalled with Windows OS, let’s say Windows 10, it not only comes with the obvious operating system modules but is clogged with unnecessary preloaded programs, which are generally not asked for by the users.
This unnecessary burdensome software is called Bloatware. They take up a lot of hard drive storage and slow down your PC or laptop.
Every bloatware is not useless. Some are drivers, essential tools to work in the background, but they do certainly slow down your system.
That is one of the reasons Microsoft sells a line of what they call Signature PCs. These computers come free of third-party bloatware On average, signature PCs start up on 104% faster, 28 minutes of more battery life, and 35% faster shut down speed.
What is the Difference between Reinstalling Windows 10 with “Reset your PC” Feature and “Fresh Start” Feature?
Now coming to the real point of discussion, “Reset your PC” feature in Windows 10 restores your system to its default settings, plus the bloatware. On many occasions, users download Windows 10 installation media, create a bootable USB, reinstall Windows to get it unloaded with extra add on software. It is an extra hassle especially for beginners with techie pieces of stuff.
But, with the advent of Windows 10 creators update, the “Fresh Start” feature allows you to revert your PC to its default settings, excluding the bloatware. This feature usually remains unheralded, but it does exist.
Now in the pursuit of using the “Fresh Start” feature, if you lose the essential stuff including the spammy apps and manufacturer-installed garbage, you can, later on, reinstall the services from the manufacturer’s website.
