Method Description:
Before you commence the method, make sure you have got the latest version of Whatsapp installed on your device. If not, install it now.

Step 1. Open your Whatsapp app, and go to the group of private chat box where you wish to proceed with the conversation with self-destruct mode.
Step 2. Tap on the recipient’s name on the top of the chatbox to get to the operating screen.
Step 3. Choose “Disappearing Messages”.
NOTE: This feature can be accessed in group chats only by admins. Ensure you are one of them.
Step 4. Toggle the “On” option activate the text self-destruct mode. You can even choose to set it off by selecting the “off” button later on.
Step 5. Go back to the chatbox again, and you will see a message at the bottom of the screen –
“You turned on disappearing messages. New messages will disappear from this chat after 7 days. Tap to change.”
Once this feature is activated, the recipient will be notified instantly, and a clock-like icon will be shown on the chat’s display image thumbnail.
