Initial settings in your Android devices

Before you get started, it is important to ensure that the Data option is enabled. This can be done by following the below steps.

Step 1 – First look for Settings option

Step 2 – Now search Wireless & Networks

Step 3 – Go to Mobile Networks & select Data

Step 4 – Check whether it is enabled or not

In case, your device is a dual SIM phone, make sure to select the service provider to access the internet and follow the above steps.

How to access the internet on your PC through Android phones?

Accessing the internet through your Android phones can be done in two ways, one is USB tethering while the other is via Wi-Fi hot spot. We will discuss both the ways so that you can access the internet through any of the methods which seem to be easier for you.

Via Wi-Fi Hotspot

Step 1 – The first step is configuring the Wi-Fi hotspot in your Android Smartphone’s or tablets

Step 2 – In order to configure, go to the Settings tab in your Android devices

Step 3 – Find Wireless & Networks option and then look for Tethering & portable hotspot

Step 4 – Here you will get the option of Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings

Step 5 – Scroll the menu and search for Configure Wi-Fi hotspot. Now enter the information Network SSID/router name, security level and password (8digits only). Save it

Step 6 – Now go to Settings option again and tap Tethering & portable hotspot. Check whether Portable Wi-Fi hotspot is enabled or not

Step 7 – Locate the Wi-Fi connection on your computer and establish a connection

Step 8 – A small window will pop up where you need to enter the security key.

Now you are free to access the internet from your Android devices onto the PC.

USB Tethering

The next method to access the internet on your desktop is through USB tethering. Follow the below steps for the same.

Step 1 – Check for the Settings option in your Android devices

Step 2 – In the menu, search for Wireless & Networks

Step 3 – Then look for Tethering & portable hotspot

Step 4 – Go to USB Tethering and enable it.

Step 5 – Now search for the Android device on your PC

Step 6 – Once the software is recognized, it has to be installed before it can be used

Step 7 – After installation, the internet connection is established and can be accessed on your PC

So both the methods are very easy and almost similar, therefore you can try any of them as per your suitability. Hope you are able to access the internet on your desktop without any difficulty.

    i am using note3 with kitkat.when i am connecting through wifi hotspot and usb tathering only i can access msn.com website only.i am not able to access other websites.
    please help me how to access another websites also.
